The experiments concern the turbulent motion of an air film between a rotating cylindrical surface (of large diameter) and a fixed plane surface. The pressure distribution upon the main flow direction and upon the lateral direction were determined. This led to the obtaining of important information on the effect of inertia forces when the lubricant film thickness presents large variations. With the aid of a hot wire anemometer the velocity profiles upon the normal to the fluid film were determined.
